Montreal's rockabilly community's musical tribute to
Sam Phillips, founder of SUN RECORDS,
who died in Memphis on July 30, 2003 at age 80.
He is credited with "discovering" Elvis, Carl Perkins, B.B. King, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Roy Orbison, among many others. He introduced Rock n'Roll to white audiences and helped desegregate the music industry.
